In their first game since March 15, Indiana High defeated North Catholic in the PIHL Class A quarterfinal matchup by the score of 5-1.
Danny Williams and Ben Nettleton capitalized on Power Play opportunities in the opening minutes of the first period, quickly giving them a 2-0 lead. Adam Ball would provide an insurance goal later in the period to help Indiana take a 3-0 lead into the first intermission. Tanner Agnello and Zach Eisenhower would ice the game in the third by adding two more goals.
Within the net, Seamus O’Connor allowed just one goal in the game, finishing the night 11-for-12 in save opportunities.
18-0 Indiana will move on the play 15-3-1 Freeport at Robert Morris University at 6:30 on April 14th. Freeport downed McDowell, 4-0. Indiana did not play Freeport in the regular season.
In the other quarterfinal games last night, #2 Kiski Area shut out Greensburg Salem, 2-0, while #3 Chartiers Valley got by North Hills, 3-2.
