The heavy rain this weekend has forced some changes to Sunday’s Hoodlebug Festival in Homer City, but the festival will go on.
The bicycle poker run has been cancelled, as has the parade, the car cruise, the outside bouncy rides and climbing wall, and the bungy jump.
Also, all of the food will be moved inside the fire hall, as will the beverages, the Kids’ Zone, and the kids’ games. The bingo inside the fire hall is cancelled to accommodate the other activities being moved indoors.
The canopies will be moved closer to the fire hall to allow festival-goers to enjoy their dining and listening to the music. The shuttle will still run between the parking area at MGK on Cooper Avenue and the fire hall.
Featured music includes the Jukehouse Bombers from 1:30 to 3, the group Black Ridge at 3:45, and the All-Star Rockers from 5:30 to 7. The duck race is still on at 3:30, pending the water level at the creek, and the 5k race will still be held at 4:30, with registration starting at 3 at Floodway Park.
