Indiana Area School District notified parents about a positive case of Covid-19 reported at Horace Mann Elementary School today.
Superintendent Michael Vuckovich announced in a letter on the district website that an employee at Horace Mann tested positive for Covid-19. While no additional staff or students need to go into quarantine, the positive case will count against the district’s rolling 14-day case count. As of this morning, there are five active cases in the district: One at Horace Mann, one at the senior high, one at East Pike and two at Ben Franklin.
Following the current model, Vuckovich said that Horace Mann will remain open. Indiana is the only school district in Indiana County reporting any active Covid-19 cases.
