Concern turned to relief yesterday in northern Indiana County as a runaway girl was located and returned to her father.
The man had driven to the state of Indiana Saturday to get his daughter and returned to his home along Route 119 in North Mahoning Township. When they got there, the girl said she didn’t want to be in Pennsylvania and asked to be taken back to Indiana. Her father told her that it was too late to do that and he would take her back after Easter, as agreed upon. He went to sleep at about 9:30 Saturday night and awoke at about 1:30 yesterday morning, discovering that his daughter had taken her belongings and left. He then drove to the state police barracks in Punxsutawney to report the girl missing.
Late yesterday morning, police reported that the girl had been found.
