The respiratory flu season data for Pennsylvania shows cases of flu and RSV rising across the commonwealth. There have been 5,819 lab-confirmed flu cases reported in the state since October 1st, and 10,988 lab-confirmed cases of RSV. In Indiana County, there have been 41 cases of flu reported and the same number of RSV cases.
The state Health Department says there have been ten flu-related deaths in Pennsylvania this season and it also notes an increase in RSV-related hospital visits for children under age five.
Covid-19 has also increased slightly. There have been 475 deaths related to covid since the season began.
