A Robinson man has been jailed and charged with strangulation after state police were summoned to investigate a domestic dispute on Thursday. 21-year-old Caleb Lichtenfels is charged with felony strangulation and summary harassment for the incident, which is alleged to have occurred shortly before 6 o’clock that morning at a home along Route 259 in West Wheatfield Township.
Lichtenfels was arraigned before District Judge Robert Bell and ordered to the Indiana County Jail with bond set at $20,000. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for December 13th.
Police are also investigating the possible sexual assault of the same victim, occurring multiple times over the last several months. They do not name a suspect in that investigation.
