GIRLS
Indiana grabbed its first win of the season as four players hit double figures in a 69-20 thrashing of North Star. Addy Hutton scored 14 points, Bella Antonacci 13, and Emily Betsinger and Laken Kugler 10 each for Indiana.
Marion Center swept to the championship of the Bishop Carroll Tournament, defeating the host school, 48-42, on Saturday after downing Central Martinsburg, 49-30, on Friday. The Stingers’ Lydia Miller was the tournament MVP. She had 12 points, 10 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 assists on Saturday. Macie Miller had 9 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 steals. Alivia Ruddock scored 8 points with 6 rebounds. In addition to Lydia Miller being named MVP, Marion Center’s Mya Lipsie was named to the all-tourney team.
At Windber, United’s girls topped Everett, 38-24.
BOYS
At the United tipoff, Bishop McCort won the title over the Lions, 53-47. Carter Payne had 16 and Brody Burkett 12 for United. In the consolation, Ligonier Valley edged Purchase Line, 52-50. Jacob Kauffman scored 11 to lead the Red Dragons.
Homer-Center picked up its first win of the season at the Leechburg tournament, knocking off Apollo Ridge, 61-46. Maxx Voyda led the way for the Wildcats with 22 points. Marcus Coy scored 15 points and Angelo Alexander had 10.
Dom Speal scored 18 points and Luke Woodring 11 as River Valley topped Mt. Pleasant, 46-42.
