This morning, the YMCA of Indiana County continued its tradition of celebrating Good Friday with its annual breakfast program, which was presented virtually this year.
The guest speaker for the program this year was Micah Hobbs of Pittsburgh, who had troubles growing up in Los Angeles and turned to God in 1994. On April 6th, 2012, which also happened to be a Good Friday, Hobbs suffered a life-threatening accident at his construction job when a large panel weighing more than 4,000 pounds landed on him. He was in a medically-induced coma for four months as he recovered.
Hobbs called it a miracle that he was able to make it out alive.
Hobbs said that his faith was strengthened after that incident.
The annual breakfast benefited the YMCA of Indiana County and its many programs and services. This year’s breakfast was held virtually due to crowd size gathering limitations to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
