Last night, the Penns Manor School Board took the next step in finding a new board member to take over for one who stepped down last month.
Three people were interviewed during the board’s committee meetings last night. The three are seeking to take the seat that was vacated with the resignation of Robert Packer last month. The longtime school board president stepped down as he was moving from Clymer to Cherryhill Township. While he would remain in the Penns Manor School District, he was moving out of the area he was elected to represent. Following district policy, Packer stepped down, but said that he would run for election to the board in the next election.
The board plans on selecting a new board member during its regular board meeting next week. The interviews were posted as part of the virtual committee meeting and are available on the district’s YouTube page.
