Yesterday was a quiet day for firefighters, but there was a wide variety of calls, including power lines being pulled down in White Township accidentally. Indiana Fire Association members were called out at 11:25 AM on Thursday for a report of lines down near Horses and Hounds at the intersection of Philadelphia Street and Shelly Drive and found a tractor-trailer pulling out of Horses and Hounds caught the overhead wires. A utility pole was snapped as a result of the incident.
One fire crew was also called out to help with a brush fire in Armstrong County. Indiana County 911 reported that at 4:19 PM, Iselin-West Lebanon Fire Department was called out to Hicksville Road in Kiskiminetas Township to assist crews on the scene with the brush fire.
