CLYMER BOROUGH POLICE
A traffic stop led to the arrest of a Clymer woman on charges of terroristic threats and other crimes. Clymer Borough Police said that the traffic stop happened at 11:33 AM at 245 Franklin Street. During the stop, 60-year-old Melanie Gladney physically interfered with the stop and made threats to the police officers. On top of the terroristic threats charge, she is accused of obstructing justice and disorderly conduct. The criminal complaint was filed through District Judge Christopher Welch’s office.
A Phillipsburg man now faces charges of DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia for an incident in Clymer on October 14th. Clymer Borough Police say that officers conducted a traffic stop at 10:24 PM near the intersection of 286 East and Short Road as the Nissan Rogue SUV was seen speeding on Franklin Street. During the investigation, the driver, 28-year-old Briand Descavish was found to be driving under the influence of marijuana, and police found marijuana in the vehicle and some drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody and later released to a sober adult. A criminal complaint has been filed through District Judge Christopher Welch’s office.
