While many are going to head back to work today for normal shifts, for some, the holiday weekend resumes.
Those who will see the holiday weekend continue are students at Armstrong-Indiana Intermediate Unit schools, as there will be no class today for students. Some schools will see some activity today, as Penns Manor, United and Marion Center will hold in-service days. The class cancellation for today follows an old tradition when the first day of rifle deer season was the Monday following Thanksgiving. Much like the past few years, deer season started last Saturday.
But today is not a federally recognized holiday, so the banks are open, county government offices and courts are open for the day as well. There will also be regular mail delivered today.
