RAYNE TOWNSHIP
State police are investigating the theft of $250 from an Indiana man. Police say an 81-year-old man who lives along Snyder Drive in Rayne Township reported that someone either intercepted a check or it was delivered to the wrong address, and an unknown person cashed it. The check was dated August 10th. Investigators do not identify any suspects and ask anyone with information to contact them at 357-1960.
CLYMER
A Clymer woman has been identified as the victim of a theft of services scheme. State police say the woman moved out of a home in Clymer in 2012 and the new occupants never switched the electric service, ringing up an unpaid balance of more than $2,731 in her name between August of 2012 and March of 2014. The victim has requested no prosecution. The case serves as a reminder to renters or homeowners who move to be sure to close all of their accounts.
WHITE TOWNSHIP
An Indiana woman reported to state police that someone stole a duffel bag from the trunk of her car between July 28th and the following morning. The vehicle had been parked overnight in the victim’s driveway along Crystal Drive in White Township.
