At their meeting Wednesday afternoon, the White Township Supervisors gave preliminary approval to their 2024 budget, and while it contains a slight deficit, taxes are not expected to go up.
The budget comes out to $11,410,658 in expenditures and $10,709,219 in revenues, resulting in a deficit of $701,439. Township Manager Chris Anderson said they will utilize leftover reserve funds to fill the deficit, rather than raise taxes.
In other business, it was announced there is a vacant auditor position within the township. Anyone interested in applying can do so at whitetownship.org or at the township building. Formal advertisement will come within a few days, but those interested can apply as soon as possible.
