The Penguins have climbed to sixth place in the NHL’s Metro Division, but they are just a point behind New Jersey and Philadelphia and two points behind third place Washington. They’ll play tomorrow at Columbus, host the Devils on Thursday, then play a weekend set at Carolina on Saturday and against visiting Vegas on Sunday.
Pittsburgh has won four straight games, three of them on a west coast road trip last week and on their return to PPG Paints Arena on Saturday night, when Tristan Jarry returned from a head injury and shut out Buffalo, 4-0.
The New York Rangers top the Metro Division with a 10-2-1 record and 21 points, seven ahead of the Pens.
