UPDATE: The investigation is ongoing into a three vehicle accident that resulted in some injuries on Friday.
State police say that the crash happened around 2:20 PM on Friday. A dump truck was driving North on Route 119 and approaching the intersection with Main Street/Campbell’s Mill Road and failed to stop for a red light, hitting a sedan. The dump truck then crossed the concrete median and into the Southbound lanes of 119 and collided head-on with a pickup truck. The dump truck then overturned, spilling its entire cargo of coal on 119. As a result, the road was closed for several hours to clean up the overturned coal.
Fire officials say all involved were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their identities and conditions have not been released.
