The suspect in an officer-involved shooting on IUP campus is due in district court today for a preliminary hearing.
19-year-old Cameron Raubaugh of Pittsburgh is facing charges of aggravated assault-fear of imminent significant bodily injury, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault and false reports for the incident on October 29th at the parking lot of George P. Miller Stadium. He allegedly called police to report a robbery being done by a man dressed in black and wielding a knife. When IUP police got there, they found Raubaugh with the knife and dressed in black. He knocked down one of the officers and a shot was fired by police, but it missed. He was eventually apprehended by state police as they used a taser to subdue him.
Raubaugh has been in Indiana County Jail since his arrest as bail was denied.
