Several hearings are scheduled for today in Indiana County Court, including a pre-trial conference for a woman charged in connection with a drug bust in August of 2019.
Valerie Woods, 43, of Commodore will be in court today for the conference in front of Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, possession of a small amount of marijuana and of drug paraphernalia in connection with a traffic stop in Clymer. Woods was a passenger in a car driven by Kent Wagner that was stopped at the intersection of Franklin Street and Elm Avenue in Clymer. Police smelled marijuana and asked Wagner if they could search his vehicle. After Wagner gave them permission, police found meth pipes, nine bags with suspected crystal meth, two suboxone strips, a half of a suboxone pill, several “owe sheets,” four small bags of marijuana, two marijuana cigars, six suspected Adderall pills, six THC vapes, other drug paraphernalia items, and $181 in cash.
Wagner pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, of drug paraphernalia and two driving-related offenses. He was ordered to serve a year of probation.
Plea court is also scheduled today for:
- Tiffany Blattenberger of Greensburg, who was charged with DUI and drug-related crimes for an incident in August of last year.
- Charles Ross of Homer City, who was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication in two cases, one in August of 2020 and one in October of the same year. He also faces a charge of resisting arrest from the October incident.
