HOCKEY
An amazing road win by the Indiana High hockey team, which beat Mars 1-0, avenging a 6-1 loss earlier in the season.
Landin Wilson scored an even-strength goal off an assist by Nate Wood at 4:49 of the second period for the game’s only goal. It was Wilson’s fourth goal of the season. Luke Rowe stood tall in goal, making 47 saves in a cleanly played game which featured only two power plays for each team.
Mars dominated in shots-on-goal, 47-23, including an 18-3 edge in the third period.
VOLLEYBALL
The state Class A volleyball playoffs start tonight with one Heritage Conference team in action. District 6 runner-up Homer-Center visits District 9 champion Elk County Catholic.
