Another Indiana County school district has announced a return to full-time in-person instruction.
Purchase Line Superintendent Shawn Ford wrote in a public letter yesterday that starting on Monday, March 22nd, the district will return to fill five-days-per-week in-school instruction for all students.
Ford says the district must still adhere to all state Department of Health and Department of Education protocols for quarantines and positive covid-19 cases.
Marion Center announced earlier this week that it would bring back students in grades K-through 6 for five days per week, also starting on Monday. The district is currently on a four-day-per-week schedule for grades 7-through-12 and says it is continuing to monitor the covid situation and the substitute teacher shortage in order to get those students back on a regular schedule as soon as possible.
Indiana Area is currently evaluating its situation, with an eye to returning full-time as soon as all staff members have the chance to be vaccinated. The district asked parents for their opinions in a survey that was due back on Tuesday.
