The Homer-Center Wildcats girls’ volleyball team fought hard and went toe-to-toe with West Branch, the number one ranked team in the state, but lost three games to one in the PIAA District 6 Class A championship game Saturday at Altoona Field House.
The game scores were 22-25, 17-25, 25-21, and 23-25. For Homer-Center, Meegan Williams had 17 kills, 17 digs, and 3 blocks. Alaina Fabin had 9 kills, 9 digs, and 4 blocks. Ashlyn Kerr had 7 kills, 10 digs, and a block. Emma Rouser had 4 kills and 4 blocks. Hannah Arone had 28 assists.
The Wildcats have qualified for the PIAA playoffs and will travel to District 9 Champion Elk County Catholic on Tuesday.
