State Senator Joe Pittman was reappointed to the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority board, better known as PENNVEST as the Senate Republican Caucus representative.
PENNVEST provides grants and low-interest loans to fund sewer, storm water and drinking water projects throughout the state. The projects are not only seen as ways to improve Pennsylvania’s environment and the health of its citizens, they also provide opportunities for economic growth and jobs for Pennsylvania’s workers.
Senator Pittman has been a part of that board since 2019, and his predecessor, Don White, also served on the PENNVEST board, as has State Representative Jim Struzzi. In a statement released this morning, Pittman said that PENNVEST’s financing has been key to numerous projects in the 41st senatorial district, and has enabled small communities to build essential water and sewer systems, and it also enhances a region’s attractiveness for both commercial and residential development.
