Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman Jr. has not yet released the name of the motorcyclist who was killed yesterday in a crash on Route 119 in East Mahoning Township.
There were no witnesses to the accident, which happened at a few minutes before 6 PM at the intersection with East Creek Road. State police say the northbound motorcycle left the road and struck the guide rails, ejecting the rider, who was found lying in the woods. Police say the operator was a man from Marion Center. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Overman. Route 119 was reduced to a single lane of traffic for several hours while police conducted their investigation.
