Second-seed Homer-Center swept seventh-seed Juniata Valley in three sets to move onto the District VI 1A semifinal matchup Wednesday evening. The Wildcats won by scores of 25-18, 25-17, and 26-24. Meegan Williams led Homer-Center with 21 kills and eight digs. Alaina Fabin had eight kills, Ashlyn Kerr had seven, and Hannah Arone tallied 29 digs.
Homer-Center will play host to the winner of Bishop Carroll and Bishop McCort tomorrow night at the Homerdome.
HOCKEY
Indiana captured a road win over Kiski Area, 7-1. Nate Wood led scorers with two goals. Gabe Nettleton added a goal and an assist. Jackson Albert, Andrew Kobak, Garrett Goodrich, and Lenny Frich also found the net.
Luke Rowe stopped five-of-six shots on goal on the night.
