On Monday Night, the Marion Center School Board approved bringing elementary students back for a five day a week schedule starting next Monday.
Superintendent Clint Weimer said that while there had been a few recent new cases of Covid-19 in the elementary school, he is confident that the elementary schools can go to a five day instructional period.
The coverage he spoke of had to do with teachers, making sure there were enough teachers available to teach classes. Weimer said that high school teachers would be ready to help out.
When asked when students in upper grade levels would return to a five day a week schedule, Weimer said he wanted to wait at least two weeks from the time the elementary grades start, and make sure that there is enough coverage before considering the upper grade levels.
