Another election deadline is approaching this week. Registered voters have until the end of business at five o’clock on Tuesday afternoon to apply to vote by mail.
There are two types of ballots with which you can vote in Pennsylvania: mail-in ballots may be used regardless of the reason. Absentee ballots can be requested by voters with disabilities or an illness that prevents them from going to their polling place on Election Day, or those who will be absent from their municipality on Election Day. For an absentee ballot, you must still list a reason.
You can apply for a mail-in ballot online, by mail, or in person at the county election board office or other designated locations.
To count for this year’s election, ballots must be received by 8 PM on election day, November 7th. A postmark is not enough.
