It was another busy day for Indiana County first responders as four brush fires were reported in the county on Sunday.
The string of brush fires started at 2:20 PM with a brush fire on Jerico Road in West Wheatfield Township. Bolivar fire department was called out for that fire.
Plumville and Marion Center fire departments would be called to 1750 Route 85 in Rayne Township for a brush fire at 2:37 PM. Officials with the Marion Center fire department said the fire was limited to a four- or five-mile stretch of brush alongside Route 85.
Clyde fire department would be called out for a brush fire at 3:23 PM on Power Plant Road in West Wheatfield Township. The final call would be at 4:15 PM on Johnsonburg Road in Canoe Township. Rossiter fire department would be called out for that.
Iselin-West Lebanon fire department would be called out at 4:16 to assist fire crews in Armstrong County with a fire on Shady Plain Road near Apollo.
The only other call reported on Sunday was a vehicle accident on Newport Road in Black Lick Township. Black Lick and Blairsville firefighters were dispatched at 3:50 PM along with State Police and Citizens Ambulance.
