The $1.9 trillion stimulus bill signed into law this week will funnel money into counties, municipalities, and school districts across Pennsylvania, including millions for Indiana County’s school districts. School funds must be earmarked to “address learning loss and go toward interventions that ensure students’ academic, social and emotional needs are met.”
In Indiana County, the Marion Center School District will receive the highest amount, $5,168,429. Indiana Area will get more than $3.5 million; Blairsville-Saltsburg, more than $2.8 million; Purchase Line, about $2.6 million; United, almost $2.5 million; Penns Manor, more than $2.3 million; and Homer Center, more than $1.3 million.
Indiana County will receive $16.3 million in relief funding. The largest amounts for municipalities go to White Township, at about $1.55 million; and Indiana Borough, with more than $1.3 million.
