In a meeting this morning, the Indiana County Commissioners approved an easement with Penelec for a new electric pole for the Air Liquide facility at the Route 119 Business Park in Center Township.
Planning and Development Office Executive Director Byron Stauffer said that the pole will be located on the Hoodlebug Trail, which is owned by the county.
A similar easement was requested by Indiana County Parks and Trails to install an electric line at the Hoodlebug Trail to serve a property owned by Frank Arone of Homer City. That request was also approved.
In other business, the Commissioners approved an agreement with Jennifer Hammers Pathology, LLC to perform autopsies at the new forensic center on Airport Road at a cost of $1550. Commissioners Chairman Mike Keith said this is a savings over their current method, which is to utilize ForensicDX out of Windber.
The agreement also allows her to charge $250 for any autopsies performed for agencies outside of Indiana County.
