More information has been released on the crash on Airport Road Thursday morning that sent a bike rider to the hospital.
State Police have identified the person on the bike as 36-year-old Marie Pisarcik of Indiana. She was riding the bike west on Airport Road and was turning left onto Geesey Road. That’s when a car driven by 22-year-old Bailey Bouch of Indiana was travelling east on Airport road, and the two collided.
Police believe that the dense fog in the area yesterday that caused limited visability may have been a factor in the crash. Pisarcik was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center and later flown to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Bouch suffered minor injuries in the crash. Pisarcik was wearing a biking helmet at the time.
