The Blairsville Community Development Authority and the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development are getting ready for a meeting next Wednesday concerning the future of the Murphy Lot.
Both groups will present the Murphy Lot Visioning Project Summary and Recommendations Report, titled “Looking Forward to Small Town Revitalization.” The report was formulated from the community feedback that has been gathered through the last few months on how the space where the Murphy building was in Blairsville is to be used. While the lot is required to be a “Green Space” due to some of the money that was acquired to tear the building down, input was allowed to be given on how that lot can be utilized. Ideas have ranged from installing a water feature and benches to having areas where kids can play marbles.
The meeting will be Wednesday, March 17th starting at 6:00 PM and will be held over Zoom video chat. Those interested can use the details below to join the meeting.
