PSP-INDIANA
DRUG ARREST
State police have accused a woman from Lucernemines with drug-related crimes related to an incident last Thursday. Troopers say that at 11:28 AM on October 19th, 27-year-old Kasey Prescott was pulled over for a traffic violation along Route 119 South in Burrell Township.
During the stop, police determined that she was under the influence of drugs. She also admitted to having some drugs in her possession. Formal charges are pending the results of a blood test
THEFT
A man from Josephine was charged with stealing beer from the Sheetz in Blairsville. State police say that 36-year-old Alvin McIntyre took two 12-pack cases of beer from the store on Route 22 without paying for it. McIntyre is charged with retail theft.
CRASH
State police have released more details on a crash that happened on September 25th. Troopers say 18-year-old Kayla Beecher of Saltsburg was driving West on Rose Street when she rear-ended a truck driven by 58-year-old Timothy Greene of Clymer. Police determined that Beecher was going too fast for road conditions and failed to come to a complete stop before the collision. Beecher had suspected minor injuries and was taken to IRMC for treatment.
