White Township officials will honor an area entrepreneur by naming a road in the township after him today.
Cermonies will be held this morning to ceremonially name Kolter Drive to Gilbert Zilner Boulevard. Members of the Zilner family, along with leaders of Diamond Drug and Diamond Medical Supply, township officials and other guests will be on hand for the ceremony. The honor will pay tribute to the late Gilbert “Gib” Zilner, who purchased the Diamond Drug Store in 1970 and expanded it to serve nursing homes and correctional facilities across the United States. On top of that, he served the community with his involvement in organizations like Aging Services, the Indiana County Airport Authority, the Knights of Columbus and other groups. Zilner died in September of 2022.
Kolter Drive was chosen as it is the current home of Diamond Pharmacy Services. The ceremonies will start around 11 this morning and we will bring it to you on our Facebook Page.
