After a five-game homestand on which they won four games, the Penguins are back on the road tonight, facing the NHL East last-place team, the Buffalo Sabres.
The Pens have won three games in a row for the first time this season, but they are only 4-7-1 on the road this season. They have not played either of the two teams at the bottom of the East, the Sabres or the Devils, yet this year
Sullivan says the Penguins can’t afford to take any team lightly, the lowly Sabres included.
Coach Mike Sullivan says goaltender Tristan Jarry’s confidence in net is growing and the rest of the team is benefiting because of it.
Injured defenseman Mark Friedman was a full participant in practice yesterday after missing the last three games following a collision last week in a game against the Flyers. Defenseman John Marino was absent for what Sullivan called a “maintenance day”.
