In an effort to get students to better utilize its Punxsutawney facilities, the IUP Council of Trustees yesterday approved reduced housing and dining rates for those using the IUP Punxsy Living-Learning Center. The offer is good for students enrolled at IUP Punxsutawney and the IUP Academy of Culinary Arts.
Starting with the fall semester, residents of the Living-Learning Center will pay $3,500 per semester, and one meal plan at the center will cost $1,478 per semester. Savings on housing will range from $1,000 to $100 per semester, based on last year’s rates and depending on the type of suite chosen; Meal plan savings amount to $200 per semester compared to last year’s rate for a similar plan.
The Living-Learning Center opened in 2006. The meal plan is offered to all students, not just those living at the Living-Learning Center.
