The average cost of gas in both Pennsylvania and in Indiana County now exceeds $3.00 a gallon.
Triple A reports that the gas price average for Pennsylvania is now $3.00 a gallon, an increase of about 5 cents over the last week, 14 cents over the last month and 44 cents over last year at this time. The national average is $2.77 a gallon.
As of this morning, Indiana County’s average cost of a gallon of gas is $3.04 a gallon. Gas prices throughout Indiana Borough, White Township, Homer City, Blairsville, Burrell Township and Clymer are currently at $3.09 a gallon.
Indiana County is tied with Westmoreland County for the average cost of a gallon of gas. The lowest average in the region is Armstrong County at $3.02 a gallon, Clearfield is the next highest at $3.03 a gallon. Jefferson County has $3.05 a gallon and Cambria has an average of $3.08 a gallon
