District 6 has scheduled this Wednesday’s Girls and Boys AA championship games for separate sites, in consideration of the possibility of too many fans mixing together and violating pandemic protocols. But the two Indiana County Heritage Conference girls teams in the title game will have to travel all the way to Forest Hills High School to play for the championship. And the top-seeded West Shamokin Wolves will have a much longer trip than No. 2 Portage for the boys’ title.
The girls game featuring No. 5 United against No. 7 Penns Manor will be played at Forest Hills High School. The boys’ game with No. 1 West Shamokin against No. 2 Portage will be at Central Cambria. Both games will tip off at 7:00.
With only the district champions going onward into the state tournament, the games will be the end of the line for the losing teams.
