The Indiana County District Attorney’s Office has announced that their name is being used in a phone scam.
DA Robert Manzi said that the scammers claim they are with the DA’s office, and are asking for payment in the form of gift cards. Manzi said that the DA’s office does not accept payments of any kind, and no government entity accepts gift cards as a form of payment.
Manzi said that people should not respond to this scam, and if anyone has any questions on any caller who identifies themselves as with the DA’s office can call the Indiana County Detective Bureau at 724-471-7777.
