The search resumes this morning for an 18-year-old Laurel Valley graduate who went missing Monday at the Quemahoning Reservoir in Somerset County.
Dive and Water Rescue Teams did not find any sign of Joey Dubics, who disappeared while he and his friends were paddleboarding in the reservoir Monday afternoon. He reportedly dropped his hat and sunglasses in the water, and he dived in to retrieve them. He did come up for air once, but after diving in a second time, he did not come up for air.
While the fourth day of searching turned up nothing, crews are using some more advanced equipment to get a good look at the deeper parts of the reservoir. The Jackson and East Taylor dive rescue team out of Cambria County utilized a small submersible device that had video capabilities and sonar to scan for objects in areas of water that have zero visibility.
Search efforts are expected to resume this morning.
