White Township Supervisors approved a resolution for five new traffic signals during their meeting last night.
The five new traffic signals will replace the ones that are currently along the Oakland Avenue corridor. Township manager Milt Lady said that while PennDOT would pay for the installation of the lights, it is still up to the township to maintain them.
In other news, the Township Supervisors approved a motion to advertise the new stormwater ordinance, even though the Planning Commission has not given their recommendation for it. Lady said that they were confident the Township Planning Commission would approve the ordinance, and may hold off on actually advertising the ordinance until the recommendation comes in.
The planning commission received the ordinance to look at during their meeting Tuesday night and said a decision would be made at their August meeting.
