Dive crews continue to search for a missing Ligonier Valley man and 2018 graduate of Ligonier Valley High School at Somerset County’s Quemahoning Reservoir.
The man, who has been missing since Monday, has been identified by a member of the Shanksville Volunteer Fire Department dive team as 18-year-old Joey Dubics.
Dubics, who was a standout football player at Ligonier Valley, went missing shortly after 1 p.m. Monday while he was paddleboarding with friends.
According to a member of the Greensburg dive team, Dubics was trying to retrieve a hat and sunglasses.
Crews searched for Dubics from Monday into Wednesday, and the search continued as of late Wednesday afternoon.
Dubics was a running back and linebacker at Ligonier Valley and was captain of the team that won consecutive PIAA District 6 Class 2A titles.
