The Indiana Area School District reports a new case of covid-19 in a student at the high school. The student was last in the school on February 23rd. Superintendent Michael Vuckovich says the student wore a mask and was properly distanced and not around anyone within six feet for more than 15 minutes.
Vuckovich says that with Indiana County now in the “moderate” phase for coronavirus, the case does not technically apply to the district’s case count, but in order to ensure the highest level of safety, the case will apply to the rolling fourteen-day count. It is the only case currently listed by the district.
Indiana Area is the only district in Indiana County listing a covid-19 case.
