The body of a Clearfield County man missing for sixteen days was found yesterday afternoon at Prince Gallitzin State Park.
67-year-old Larry Gontero of Luthersburg fell into the water near the Beaver Valley launch while fishing from his Bass Tracker boat. His body was discovered less than 100 feet from where it’s believed he entered the water. Park rangers found the body. Searchers, including divers from the Blairsville Fire Company water rescue team, had been searching for Gontero since June 22nd. His name was not released until the body was recovered.
The area surrounding the Beaver Valley launch was reopened to the public after the recovery.
