State police have charged an Indiana man with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an incident at a home on Airport Road. Troopers say on July 2nd, 39-year-old Brett Randall Searles of Indiana was involved in a loud verbal argument with his wife, and Searles was in a highly intoxicated and disorderly state. When police placed him under arrest, he became more disorderly and started to resist arrest. Searles also faces a count of public drunkenness.
No one was injured in a crash in East Mahoning Township on Friday. State police say that 22-year-old Ashley Breen of Marion Center was going North on Olson Road, and was in the right lane of travel going into south-bound traffic when she struck an REA utility pole. The car then caught fire around the point of impact with the car. The fire destroyed the car. Breen was not injured, but she was cited for not driving on roadways laned for traffic.
State troopers have charged a Blairsville man with drug possession. State Police are now reporting the incident that happened back on June 15th at 12:05 PM, where the man, identified only as a 36-year-old Blairsville man, was in possession of about 7 grams of suspected marijuana. The incident happened on West 1st Avenue in Burrell Township.
State Police have charged a Latrobe man with a theft from the Homer City Sheetz that happened June 3rd. Police say the man, identified only as a 20-year-old, was accused of stealing a phone charger worth $16.99 from the store.
