Indiana University of Pennsylvania is getting ready for Homecoming Weekend.
Tomorrow, members of the Indiana Area Collaborative Team, also known as I-ACT, will meet at 1:00 PM. The meeting is meant to give all stakeholders an update on safety during Homecoming Weekend and what will be going on throughout the weekend.
Homecoming weekend is expected to once again draw thousands of people to Indiana for various events at the university. The annual Homecoming Parade will start at 10 AM on Saturday, October 7th and will feature more than 70 units marching, including floats from IUP groups and community organizations. The theme of the parade this year is “Circus.” We will have coverage of the parade on Renda Digital TV.
After the parade, over 700 IUP Alumni and Friends are expected to gather at the annual Crimson Huddle pre-game party inside the KCAC, which will feature a special celebration for the IUP class of 1973. That will run from 11-2PM in the KCAC. The football game between IUP and Cal will start at 2:00 as well. Weekend events will conclude with the IUP Symphony Band and Wind Ensemble performing a joint concert at 3 PM on Sunday.
More information on the schedule for alumni and students can be found at www.iup.edu/homecoming.
