Indiana Regional Medical Center has announced that they have distributed close to 8,000 Covid-19 vaccines and it is continuing to do so as efficiently as possible.
In a news release, IRMC says that vaccination clinics at the KCAC will continue by appointment only, but vaccines remain limited throughout the state. IRMC said that it has not received first-dose vaccine shipments in over a week, so for now the hospital will continue to focus on getting second doses out to those who utilized IRMC for their first dose, and it is working quickly to get the supply the PA Department of Health provides out, sometimes on very limited notice.
IRMC is urging people that qualify in phase 1-A of the state’s vaccine distribution plan to complete a vaccine interest form at www.irmc.org/vaccine. If you have already done this, you don’t need to do it again. IRMC also said that while the loyalty to the facility is appreciated, people may have to get their vaccine at another location, like a pharmacy or another healthcare facility, and the hospital encourages you to do so. Just make sure that you receive the second dose from the same location that you did the first dose.
IRMC also stated that they are working to provide future vaccine clinics to the community and will notify those next in line when it is their turn.
