Friday turned into a busy day for Indiana County’s first responders.
At 12:50 yesterday afternoon, Indiana Fire Companies 3 and 4 were dispatched to an automatic fire alarm activation on Philadelphia Street in Indiana Borough.
A vehicle fire was reported along Route 22 East in West Wheatfield Township at 5:35 PM. That brought out Armagh and Clyde Fire Departments along with the state police.
Brush Valley fire department were called out for back-to-back calls within an hour of each other. The first was for a smoke investigation along Route 56 East in Brush Valley Township at 7:21 PM. The second was for a vehicle accident on 56. The accident also brought out the state police and Citizens’ Ambulance.
A second vehicle accident was called in at 11:08 PM on William Fry Road in East Wheatfield township. Armagh/East Wheatfield fire department, West End EMS, Citizens’ and State Police were called out.
Finally, a structure fire was reported just after midnight this morning along Locust Street in Indiana borough. Indiana Fire Association, Team 900, Citizens Ambulance and Indiana Borough Police were dispatched.
