Steelers coach Mike Tomlin tweeted yesterday that he is experiencing minimal symptoms and is in good health after testing positive for covid-19. He is working from home and thanked members of the media who respected his privacy by not writing about his diagnosis.
Steelers spokesman Burt Lauten said yesterday that the coaching and personnel staffs were sent home last week after “a few members” tested positive.
The Steelers have restructured the contract of defensive end Cam Heyward, converting $10.5 million in salary into a signing bonus that will be spread out over the remaining four years of his contract. They saved $7 million off their salary cap with the move.
