While the average cost of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in our area is still above the $3.00 mark, the state-wide average has gone below that mark.
According to GasBuddy.com, the Average cost of a gallon of gas in Indiana County is at $3.03 a gallon. Among our neighbors, Clearfield County is the cheapest at $2.96 a gallon, with Cambria also at $3.03 a gallon, Jefferson County checked in with $3.08 a gallon, Westmoreland County had an average price of $3.09 a gallon, and the highest cost is in Armstrong County, with an average price of $3.11 a gallon.
Across the state, the average cost is $2.99 a gallon, that’s down three cents a gallon from last week. But that average remains higher from a year ago at this time. In fact, it’s 58 cents higher than it was last year for Pennsylvania.
