Two leaders of IUP Lively Arts have been chosen to serve on the second cohort of the state’s new program boosting arts marketing and audience engagement skills along arts and cultural professionals.
Executive Director Kristen Koehler and Performance Services Assistant Catherine Planisky will help develop strategies to address declining arts participation in Pennsylvania, targeting arts and cultural organizations in attracting and retaining expanded audiences.
The cohort will undergo an intensive three-day boot camp starting this Thursday at the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council and then participate in four in-person trainings and five virtual trainings, along with a special preconference event at the annual National Arts Marketing Project Conference. The first year will be primarily for training the cohort members, and afterward they will shift from trainees to mentors.
